My dream hunt. Let me think ....
Lets see I got 3 things for a successful hunt:
1) Have a relaxing enjoyable time.
2) Enjoy the time outdoors with friends/family.
3) Get something to ether fill the freezer or depending on the hunger factor eat a BBQ at camp.
Now with that being said I'd love to go for some goats on the mountains. Too bad by the time we got off the mountains knowing me and the people I'd bring with there wouldnt be any meat left.

My best friend and I have a mutual agreement that we will, before we die, go to Africa and hunt lion. For many of the reasons cited, hunting dangerous game seems like one of life's more thrilling endeavors. Knowing that a poor shot could get you killed must make a fella feel like the first time he ever saw a buck through a rifle scope, combined with the feeling you get when you bungee jump off a bridge. All the exhiliration of a great big game hunt and a strong dose of primitive, gut-level fear to go with it!
Of all the hunts I've ever been on, the one I will always recall as being the most fun was a primitive-only buffalo hunt. We all used flintlock muzzleloaders, and the meat from half an animal fed my family of five for a year! Some of the best meat I've ever had, too!

Africa again but this time for cape buffalo, leopard, sable, and nyala.
A close second would be a stone sheep hunt.

I don't have to go anywhere, BC has all the wild life I need. I would like to shoot a trophy animal before I'm too old. A nice big mulie or whitetail would do me nicely thanks. Maybe this year, I have a deer hunt planned for middle of october in very good mulie country. Wish me luck!

My dream hunt is a Colorado elk hunt.
But talkin about sheep, one day this guy was going down the road and looked out across this field and here was this old man goin for it with a sheep so he stopped into the farm and knocked on the door. A young man answered the door and asked what he wanted. The guy said to the young man, I don't want to alarm you but there's an old man out there with your sheep. The young man walked out and looked and said, oh that's ok that's just my daaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

I am retired Navy and spent most of my life touring over 42 countries. Nothing like the good ole USA. I am a true Southern boy and by that I mean I have only hunted whitetail deer, and hogs. This trip I am scheduled to go in Nov. 2007 in Southwestern Montana will probably be my dream hunt. Been reading everything I can on elk and am fasinated by them. A big grizzley would probably make me *&^% my pants. You guys out West are very lucky. Alaska would be my next favorite place to hunt.

lets see any hunt is a good time, even when things dont go as planned.. never have hunted for anything but deer, squirrel, rabbit, etc. so yes a hunt in Africa would be fun, elk/mooses would be a good time, but i have always wanted to see Alaska, so even if it was for squirrels in Alaska i would be there!! and i wouldnt even have to have a rifle with me!!

Hi there guys, this is my first post all the way from South Africa. I am extremely fortunate, I have my dream hunt about four or five times a year. I live and work in Johannesburg and hunt anything from Springbuck through to Eland and Gemsbuck within an eight hundred km radius from my house. Have only still to hunt the dangerous game / big 5 of which i only want to hunt buffalo. The rest of the big 5 i only shoot with a camera.
The site is very entertaining and i enjoy the forums, thanks.
Make every shot count!
Greetings from SA.
