Sir.....there is absolutely nothing plain or uninteresting about the 30.30..... especially when chambered in that most magnificent of rifles, the Winchester Model 94, or even a Marlin.

The good ole thutty-thutty may be uninteresting to those who lust after a Spitzensparken 7.36 Kurtz with thumbhole stock and inletted compass, or suchlike, and that is a perfectly acceptable personal choice, Because there is no wrong way to enjoy a hobby. But in the discussions we have had, the questions "enough gun?" and "value for $" seem to be concerns.

Gidday Swampy. Thanks for the "soldier's 5" on the 300 Whisper. I wasn't aware that this is the reason for its existence and how it came to be. Put two guys like JDJ and Rock together and anything is likely to happen.

As for my comment to Snipes....in true aussie fashion it was tongue in cheek and was designed to bait, and get a bite outa him .....but the bugger didn't bite so I can't set the hook.
