i was pulling the wifes car out of the garage when i hear the neighbor boy holler a "hey jeff.. I got a couple snakes over here" yeah happy for ya buddy hahah.. well i stick my head through the hedges and see a couple black snakes, no biggie. then i look and realize whats about to happen, ones a lil boy and ones a lil girl... (cue the music)

and for those who donno the male is the smaller one on top, he will accually use his lower jaw to rub the female to help stimulate her to get her in the mood..

hey ya dont see this stuff every day! especially first hand! sure i have seen it , have even helped cause it (introduced the snakes) but never seen it in the wild...

I do got to ask though, can do you the same thing you do to dogs with snakes ?? Confused

no this could accually kill the male and the female.. things could get ripped open/off.. you basically let them do the deed, sometimes upwards of a hour plus. but this one was only about 20 minutes.. i dont wanna get too crude, with it, but it was awsome to watch..

Kinda like this. This is 2 males doing the dominance dance I believe. They are not intertwined and are just pushing each other around. These are a friends pictures from 2 years ago.

why do you think i chose it, a little "what is he trying to do" zap.. but it is rather hunting related, at the least it is outdoors, and it shows you with all the bad junk going on, we must be doing something right to have the smaller more vunerable animals reproducing.. they say first thing to go wrong is the bugs, and it goes up from there, so snakes makin babies tells me the ecosystem is pretty stable!! the snake dance that rattlers do is great they really get into it!! talk about dinner and a movie! then you have the roman orgy style of the garden snakes, one female with hundreds of males all balled up trying to mate...

with the rattlers they dance like this and force each other to the ground, the dominate male then gets the privlege to mate with the female who is usually close by.. i seen a animal planet special on then a couple years ago, they had these two males going and going and going, the female was like 5-6 foot away, and a THIRD male came in and mated with the female while the other two were pushing each outher around! talk about being snaked!!
