Not if you're "barking" the squirrels!

Killed quite a few squirrels with my .54 flintlock also, late PA flintlock deer season is also squirrel season, also a few rabbits. Killed a few squirrels(headshots)with .243. Sparrow with 44 magnum. Sparrow with watergun. Bumble bees with 12 guage. Groundhogs with 400 grain bullet at 2060 FPS out of 45-70. Rats and mice in barn with 125 grain .357.

Shot prairie dogs with my sons 20 ga. shotgun two weeks ago. It was windy and we were waiting to setup for the wind to die down. I took a poke at one from the truck, got it, shot two more in the next five minutes. It doesn't have the dramatic effect that a 52 gr. bullet traveling at 4200 fps has but it does roll them.

Probably the weirdest one I've done is shooting mice with Winchester .22 rimfire Power Point.....red mist. Well I suppose rabbits with a .243 would probably fit the bill too, but nowhere near as dramatic or explosive.

My Pshrink sez it's o.k. to handload, if I wash my hands well before I suck my thumb. Wouldn't want any of that NASTY lead to harm my mental faculties...whatever's left of them. Cool

Hope this counts, Very Happy My daughter got her first kill with a Marlin 22lr autoloader. The dang flowerpot refused to stay down. She snuck up on it at 30yds and executed it in the drain hole. Only took one shot. Razz

Sounds like a "Texas heart shot" there mate. Most undignified. Then again, if she got it right in the middle of the "drain hole" it would have been an easy passage Laughing so the "pelt" would have been unmarked.
wtf Shocked
Very Happy Laughing Laughing Haha

Does a 222 R count as a wierd caliber? I use it to shoot catfish pond turtles. Until I get bored.

Do you know how to make turtle rain? Shoot a turtle in the pond with a 200 gr bullet from a 350 Rem Mag. It rains bits of turtle all over the pond. Very Happy My catfish farmer likes turtle rain, a lot. Very Happy Very Happy
