I just returned home from a Canadian moose hunt in Quebec. This was without a dout the worst hunt I've ever been on.
10 days in the bush and never seen a moose.
When our guide didn't meet us at the border like planned, I knew right then and there this was going to be the trip from hell. It was.
Will someone please explain to me and help me understand the signs we kept seeing that said CHAUSSER'S AL-LUFFUT. (i think i spelled that right)
The Frenchman that tried to explain it to us did not speak English or at least didn't want too. I do belive however he used alot of those four letter words.

Your right Joe it sucks !!!
The trip was won on a raffle so the stay at the cabin was a freebie. And you know what they say, "nothing is for free".
Don't really know anything about the outfitter. He never came and talked to us. The guide finally had the nerve to come see us the third day in camp. He spent a whole 15 min. with us. He had to get back to the 2 paying coustumers that was staying with him.
Dad and I had a good time hunting [i should say attempting to hunt] as we always do, so not all was a loss.
Should we decide to go on another moose hunt we atleast have a better idea of what to expect. This was the first time we ever did anything like this. Our biggest mistake was not educating ourselfs because we were led to belive the guide would be their for us.

That sucks the guide wasn't around.
I can tell you know I know what the first word "chasseur" means hunter but I'm confused on the 2nd word.

Sorry for your hunt,we all have sometime some cheap peoples who give bad reputation for a country.
CHAUSSER'S AL-LUFFUT wich is spelled "Chasseurs a L' affut" means
something like Hunters on the spot.
