Hanes are just skivvies, bro..Hanes his way or Hanes her way is just how they market them, Michael Jordan's their spoke-celebrity, so you may have some pretty big skivvies to fill

wow vince i didnt even notice this posting for the past couple days... real healthy carpet python there.. here those critters are sold as pets, ranging anywhere from 200 up to 500 bucks a pop!! a semi accurate way fast way of "sexing" is size, most of the time the bigger overall is female, the more slender and sleek is male.. but the only real proven method is to "probe" them, and yes it does entale what it sounds like!! good for you for taking it out and letting him go to live another day! they are great mice and rat eaters, keeps the vermin population down real well!
i wont pick on you about the chosen snake wrangling attire you had, well didnt have on, but i will say something that looked like that come up and grabbed me by the rear end when i was trying to get some dinner i would be a bit grouchy too!!

Nice snake, hummmm interesting old snake catcher. I thought all Aussies roamed around the neighborhood wih one shoe, at night, kinda a "down under" mating ritual sorta thing. Sorta like the Spanish except in Australia it is the flamingo dance, just one foot Hey what happened to yer beard? Fess up, when did you trade it in fer a soup strainer?
Ed |
Yeah, well what we hope for is a lady with a matching shoe or sandal to come along...make a pair that fits both.
I shaved the beard off about 12 months ago...always had the soup strainer, for as long as I can remember. Got rid of the beard when the missus complained about it tickling when I'd bite her on the butt for a laugh.

Yep, a real healthy critter mate. He/she felt very strong and healthy when I picked it up. It only wrapped its tail around my wrist, but I could feel the immense strength that was on tap.
As for probing.....nah....I couldn't do it to the poor bugger. I wouldn't be real happy if it was done to me and I reckon he'd feel the same.
The sell then out here in selected Pet Shops. Depending on the size and age they can go for as much as $100 - $200 a foot in length. But, as I say, you need a licence to keep them, and they make you jump through heaps of hoops just to maintain the licence.
My brother sent me a pic of an African speed hump. Makes the snake I cayght look pretty insignificant. Check it out below. Don't think I would be picking this one up in a hurry.

His mustach is too short for a soup strainer. It's more the length of a "cookie duster"...
Now that is a snake...
