Hell, I'm too old to learn a new language! I'll stick with Texas English.
Here's a couple of Texas words that I've never heard anybody else use.
Bar Ditch
Tank (not the big metal ones that hold fluid)
Bushy, do y'all use them in Missouri?
I know that the land down under has a unique vocabulary.

That web site encourages people to be lazy and not learn to spell...We are working on a type writer right. Just how long does it take to type the whole word or phrase?
As far as the language here in Missouri is concerned. I'm still learning it as I'm from the Great Northwest. Only been here a year and a half...

Yep...some of our colloquilisms are very unique. But it is dying out to a certain extent now.
One thing that I have noticed though....and I feel that its TV and the movies that are causing it....is the spread of words, terminology and slang from the US. You hear it more and more these days. You will even hera young kids singing with an American accent when they are singing along with bands.
Anyway....this is getting WAY off topic. We got any more bow pics?
Cheers, Vince

Everyone has a accent, depends on who is hearing you speak. A Yankee will tell the difference between another Yankee's accent and a Southerners accent.
A Aussie can hear a difference between what he thinks is a "normal" accent and what he hears on TV as a "American" accent.
Look at Britain, you can tell (if your British anyways I'm told) what area of the country, and sometimes down to what part of a city someone was raised in based on their accent.
Me, I got a accent, but don't ask me what it is, everyone pegs me as something else I've probably heard every European country listed atleast a half dozen times. I've had quite a number of people try speaking their mother tongue at me and then I get a "what the hell" look on my face as I don't understand what they are trying to say till they start speaking English and apologize for the mistake.
