Flint54, my daughter almost joined the USCG about 2 years ago. Changed her mind before signing final papers.

Retired after 21 years! Only 5 months 17 days Sea Duty, most Jarheads get more than that. All the rest was Aviation Cool

I get SeaSick on anything over 26', but I can do anything in the air without any problems.

I can' put down either the Navy or the Marines; My Father was a Squid and my Son a Jarhead!! On top of that my Wife was AirForce and my son got out and went Army. Now that he is finishing up his Senior year for his Degree he is going back to the Marines & Flight School..

My Family really is part of Uncle Sam's Confused Group! We don't know which Service Flag to fly!!!

Flint, My Father was Army Air Corps before there was an Airforce, oldest brother went Marines, next brother took Army. As I starterd getting around draft age I began thinking the Navy was one not taken. Uncle Sam made up my mind and classified me 4F because of something from when I was a kid. Number was 21 and was sent for a physical. Didn't mind missing the tale end of our "policing action."
