You guys are fancy. I just sit on the porch and shoot twigs off of the trees at the far end of the yard. I figure if I can hit the twig, It's good enough. Just joking. I take a marker and make a dot on a cardboard box. Once I'm sighted in, I shoot twigs off of the trees in the yard.

I usually make my own scope targets using simple 1/4" - 1/2" ruled graph paper and put black (or any other non-fluorescent color) 1/2" stickers (available at any Office Max or Wal-Mart) on it. This works better and is far cheaper than commercial targets. Through a scope, the dots are clearly visible but small enough for consistent alignment. The graph paper helps determine at a glance the amount of sight correction that may be needed and, with accurate rifles, several dots can be placed on the same target to prevent having to re-post them as often.

We take turns shootin the legs off the fleas on the groundhog that lives 175 yards from the back porch. Of course, that's just to get warmed up to do some real shootin'.......

Put one more into each eye as the head fell...
the head spinning kinda made it interesting.....
'Course, I had to finish yawning between shots.....
Oh yeah, I was loadin 'em single shot, and just had surgery on my right eye....

OK, my turn... Once I shot a house fly at 15 yards with a .22 revolver, in front of witnesses! Of course I could never do it again. That had to be the unluckiest fly that ever lived!

Hell, I was just out-classed. He's just a better lier than me. Ha Ha!
Bushy, I think yours was just a shit shot. I believe you were shooting at a ground hog about 30 yard to the left. Hey, we all do that occationnally. I once shot a running jackrabbit with a 222 at about 75 yards with 6 witnesses. Boy, talk about a shit shot. I just told them, heck, I do that all the time. That'll build a reputation really quick, weather it's true or not.
I don't know about the leg getting longer, but I'll bet the nose is.

My buddy likes to shoot the ones with even number of legs
The real trick is only shootin the ones with ODD number legs....
so you can help balance them back out....
If you wanna get fancy, ya gotta make sure they got the same # legs on each side...

I'm resigning my liar’s commission, turning in my bars, and going back to being a civilian, I can't compete at this level. I'm just out-classed. Uncle! Uncle!

Just wait till Vince and Eric log back in...
They'll make me look like I'm hooked up to a polygraph while settin' in the electric chair....

Never really could tell if one had a longer leg...
We usually compare antenna size to see if one's a "shooter"....

Mike,
Something tells me that you really did shoot that fly. I'm going to have to try that one. Or a small fly drawing on a target.
