forward it. We have very little time to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America .

THE PROGRAM:

On Thursday, September 11th, 2008, an American flag should be displayed
outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States .

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this seventh anniversary of one our country's worst tragedies. We do this honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds .

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do ...

(1) Forward a copy of this to everyone you know (at least 11 people). Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should
fly the flag year -round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank You Vince for posting this. I've said it before and I'll say it again, You are more of a Patriotic American Citizen than a lot of the people who actualy live here. I'm proud to know you.

Thanks Hoffy. I was with a US Infantry unit the night (here) that the Twin Towers were teken out...I saw the anguish, the fear, the indignation, and many other emotions on the faces of the guys and thought...How would I feel in their place.

9/11 was a terrible thing. Many people from many nations lost their lives...including Australians, but it happened on your shores which made it so much worse for you guys.

I have another friend in the NY region, who worked long and hard on the clean up. He has told me some horrific stories...stories I will never tell.

Patriotic...I dunno mate...but I do feel for what happened to you guys, and I like to think that I have some pretty good mates over your way as well.

Thanks for the thoughtfullness and spirt. Having spent twenty-eight years in the military I know about the feelings you describe (anguish, the fear, the indignation, and many other emotions on the faces). I have seen the face of youngsters changed, in seconds, from smiles to faces of men with a grim task to accomplish.

Be sure I will be flying several flags on 9/11.

My flag is up year round Vince.

My Wife has been doing a Veteran's Day program at school for many years on November 11, for all of the local Veteran's.

All of my friends fly the flag.
Even my liberal friends.
I'm fussy who I hang out with.

Our flag is always up. We put in a flag pole with lights a week after 9/11.

I fly the flag and wear a pin!!!
