|
A newsletter from USSA states that United has established a policy to no longer allow the transport of horns or antlers. A group of hunters apparently found out the hard way when they got to the ticket counter following their hunt in Canada. Below is a quote I got from their website. I also called them and confirmed that this is their policy. The women I spoke with wasn't at all friendly and seemed put out by the question. I'll be posting this on some web sites.
Antlers & animal horns
United Airlines does not accept antlers or animal horns as checked or carry-on baggage on any flights.

You would think checked baggage would be ok but I guess they don't want them on the carry-on because you could use them to stab with? Wonder why not on the checked baggage, flight crew not trusty?
Confused

Just a silly question: what if the animal is still alive? Am I alowed to take a horned cheep? Or what about Santa's Rudolf?
I once have been told the story of somebody transporting pigs to the Filipines. He hired a complete airplane, removed the seats and filled it with pigs and they traveled as V.I.P., Very Important Pigs
I think the time has come that governments should take as much taxes on airplanefuel as on carfuel. The surviving companies maybe might understand again the meaning of the word "service"

American Airlines are on my "no fly" list due to their refusal to allow firearms as checked luggage on flights to & from the UK:

That dumb policy has cost them four round trip tickets from me so far & I'm more than happy flying Delta.

You should call their customer service department every time just to remind them of the lost revenue !!!

I emailed them copies of my online tickets from Delta the first time & included an explanation why. No reply.

It has gotten to the point that if I can not drive there; I don't go there. The Airlines and the Department of Homies and Studs have become so much trouble it is just not worth it.
