We have a H&R slug gun in the shop with a factory target that has about the same group, they use Lightfeild slugs at the factory when this gun was shipped.

I've harvested many of deer using a lightfield slug back in the 90's and that's another prime cantidate for cloverleafs!
I since switched to solely pistol and revolver though (in shotgun zone).

I shot the LightFields in my Ithica deer slayer when i had it and they shot very well and recovered slugs mushroomed as they should. The gun shop where i got my gun was realy pushin these sst's so i thought i'd give them a try they sure are accurate. Hopefully tuesday i'll see how they perform on deer

I just got on Hornady's web site for ballistics on the 300gr sst there pretty impressive.
muz vel 2000fps / 2644 fp- lbs
50yd vel 1816fps / 2196 fp- lbs
100yd vel 1641fps / 1793 fp- lbs
150yd vel 1482fps / 1463 fp-lbs
200yd vel 1341fps / 1198 fp-lbs
50yds +2.4 100yds +2.7 150yds 0 200yds -6.7
These modern day sabots are impressive to say the least and most of the slug manufactures offer good ones now if we can just get them to lower the price. $2.30 a shot gets pretty pricey.
