I don't know how anyone can complain about living in Oregon (except for the economy). I moved here from Arizona and I have to tell you this is heaven. Az. has it's beauty and I truly love some areas down there, but if you live there very long the weather wears on you and breaks you down. When I moved here I realized this is where kids can play outside in the summer (just like on TV). I won't even go to Az. for a visit anymore. Well another reason, I don't like the reservation politics, so that's enough to keep me here too. More on that HERE if you're interested, look under More NDN News.

WOW Suz. Quite an interesting web page you have. There is so much to see. I book marked it and plan to come back and read more later. Thanks for educating me.

Well it's neither my web page or my politics, but it highlights the Tohono O’odham Nation and that's my Tucson roots. They have an interesting perspective on the immigration bill and a unique one because of the identity problem of the People. But I feel it's outdated thinking because of the history of the migration into and out of Mexico. It's very complicated but at least the article spells it out and they have their say. Wish them luck.

I also bookmarked your web page.
I've been fighting for Native Rights in Minnesota since I was a kid.
I sure know how they feel after the tree hugger bastards took the BWCA away from us.

Hey D.-- back to your original post.

So--as I figure it--a guy at the counter shows a little backbone for a change, and the girl thinks that you are an American.
Good for you D.

Calling an Canuck a Yank is like calling a Kiwi and Aussie, or an Irishman a Scot. We still get our plastic bags for free, one supermarket tried to charge 5 cents and everyone balked. I tend to use a recycled bag which lives in my truck.
