Very few of that Great generation left any more. (Including my Dad whom past in 2002). I have recently watched the Ken Burns "War" seven parts series and it was great. It showed Our country Had the sprint and the will and we were not about to loss the war with Germany or Japan.
Seem this War we are fighting now has no light at the end of the tunnel. But we will never give up to the terrorist.
Thanks and god Bless them

Many wars in the past had meaning. I am not anti war as long as we are at war for a good reason. The issue I have with the war we are fighting now is that it is no longer the war we went to almost 10 years ago. Inocent people died on 9/11 and we could not stand by and let it go. I nearly joined the service at the time and sometimes regret that I did not but I am glad that I didn't only because we lost focus on what the war was about quickly and now we are so spread thin that If anything major occurs say in North Korea or on our homeland we may be in real trouble. I hope I am wrong but thats what I see being an issue. I have a great deal of pride for our soldiers and wish I would have persued a career in the service. My grandfather and uncles contributed to the war efforts in there day and my dad tried but was medically unable to. I thank the soldiers of all wars for the freedom they have made possible for those of us at home and thank the familys that sacrificed that we may be free. The Arizona is a monument for the soldiers who died needlessly and a reminder to us the sacrifice our country has made in times of war.
