Had armies of thunderstorms advance on Fort Worth and Dallas today. The last wave was impressive! A tornado touched down a couple miles West of us. Warning sirens rang out. We prepared to take cover. I watched the rotation approach. The rotating wall cloud came directly over our house but did not come in contact with the ground. I could look up directly inside the rotation. Sun was still shining through the trees. Wind got still then could hear strong gusts coming. When I was closing the door to get inside, I could feel the overpressure trying to push the door open. Blew two doors open in the house next door. We stayed in the laundry room for a couple of minutes. Then went back out to watch mother nature in action, wow. The rotation touched down again a couple of miles East of us. Hail reported up to baseball size but missed us also. Report of homes damaged just north of us. Alert for the next wave. Nothing like what happened in Joplin MO earlier this week.

We had 2 more major thunderstorms pass after this one - a total of 4 for the day. The next one produced some large hail nearby, fortuneately not in our neighborhood. This size hail does some real damage.

Ahhhhhh! I just got mine painted dont EVEN go there man.....
Hail that size would be lethal, no doubt there. I got clobbered lunging w/ a small paint with smaller than golf ball sized stuff and my hat got creamed and man did I git some knots and almost lost my mount, paint took off...that was a long day.
I see hail comin' now? I skidaddle. I HATE hail.

Hail is fine as long as your under ground.

Hail that size will go through the roof - even find you car in the garage and distroy it. Yep, underground is the best place to be.

I was flying back to the UK on Tuesday & somewhere around NY city we had to do a fair amount of manoeuvring to avoid storm cells that went way up past our 35,000'.
This one was huge:

I'm still reelin' over that baseball sized hail. It's like the Angel's are target practicing with pea shooters.
Not nice!
You'd HAVE to be underground...what could withstand that pummeling?
I'll stick with the earthquakes and fruitcakes, thanks very much.

You say you are staying in Kali? Remember...You can see these storms coming and get out of the way. An earthquake? Well...Good luck with that...
