On behalf of Elvis and myself you all need serious education about that horrible Australian habit of sheep shagging, indeed it is a common outback affliction, see kiwis live close to towns and cities so our habits tend towards other members of the human race.
Aussie outback folk; well improvisation is the name of their game. Who invented velcro gloves , nay it wasn't a kiwi it was an aussie!, it made a change from putting their preys head into wool fadges or chasing them into barbed wire fences. The term Jumbuck is Australian, it is shortened from Jump the Buck(Ram) a game still played in Aussie - Its also made famous by their national anthem Waltsing Matilda where they openly sing about their insightly habits - see it wasn't kiwis after all. Kiwis eats, roots, shoots and leaves.

A note from a friend:
"I was going to complain about how hot it is... then I realized that at least: 1) it isn't 109 degrees; 2) I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3) I'm not dressed in a full camouflage uniform with helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.; and 4) there is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today! Thanks to all who serve."

Pomgolia Mike...seems you guys are suffering a bit mate. Your Summer is the same as our winter. As for the rain...isn't that normal for Pomgolia?
Cheers, Vince |
They still have summers in southern England but up here we seem to have missed them for the past 14 years, unless they only last a week.
Annual rainfall varies from 20" in the south to 140" about 20 miles inland from here.
There's a big variation from 40" here on the coast, to 60" nine miles inland where my parents live. Another five miles up the valley from them & it's 100" & just over the head of the valley is Seathwaite, wettest place in the UK. It holds the UK record for most rain in a day too - 12.4" in November 2009.
