#1: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Wed Jan 15, 2014 8:30 pm ---- Here is a Browning A-Bolt in 6.5-284 that I just finished...
While I was taking pictures of the Browning, I spotted this coyote out in the pasture....

The profile of the "bare bones" barrel, along with the muzzle break, and the all business, no bells and whistles look is awesome. I love it. Also, I must admit, that synthetic stock in the grey disruptive pattern looks great, much better than a plain black stock.
A nice healthy looking 'yote. Now, the obvious question...where is the next pic after spotting him mate? I would have thought that you would give the rifle a "trial run" and flatten that 'yote.

awesome build once again.
#4: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 6:20 am ---- Thanks guys, glad you like the rifle...
As for the coyote, this one was one of "6" that I watched out in the pasture, in the background where I was taking the rifle pictures at. Lucky for these guys though, I didn't have my 30-284 with me....

#6: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:54 am ---- Well Mr. Bushmaster Sir, I tried to make it better....
#7: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Bushmaster, Location: Ava, MissouriPosted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:57 am ---- Nice job, but I just have a problem with camo. I'm a "wood grain" kinda guy.
Mine's just a plain ol' .30-06 with one of the old Redfield 3X9 compact Golden 5 Star scopes mounted.
#8: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 11:03 am ---- I totally agree!
When a customer is paying the bill though, you kinda gotta do what they ask....

My wallets quivering in fear at me looking at yet another excellent example of workmanship in 6.5 x 284.
Nice work again Deer Sniper.
What sort of barrel life are you getting out of the 6.5x284?
#10: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Ominivision1, Location: IowaPosted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 2:05 pm ---- Nice build, as you said "what the customer wants-customer gets". Me I'm an old fashioned wood grain furniture guy for my firearms.
#11: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 2:05 pm ---- Thank you Pete!
Me personally, I do not shoot a 6.5-284, I built this Browning for a customer...
My best friend Phil from Mississippi, shoots a 6.5-284 that I built for him over ten years ago, and it has over 1,000 rounds through it and it will still shoot 1/2" groups @ 200 yds. if he does his part....
#12: Re: Custom Browning A-Bolt Author: Deer Sniper, Posted: Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:32 pm ---- Here is a list of specs on the above rifle -
