I stopped in a gun shop yesterday to look around. Someone brought in about a half dozen military bolt action rifles and they were all sitting in the used gun rack. The prices ranged from $259.00 to $279.00 for two Japanese Type 99 7.7X58mm rifles, a Yugoslav Model 48 8X57mm, a French MAS 7.5mm, a Canadian Ross .303 and an Italian 1938 Carbine 6.5mm. Never thought I would see a Carcano with a hang tag price like that. All of the rifles were original military in very good or better condition. I passed since I already have these rifles and paid a lot less when I acquired them. All the best...

The Ross was a really under appreciated rifle, the .280 version always intrigued me.
