Beautiful!! That scope isn't going to move. What does the target look like?

Targets are too boring to post, literally. All rifles are guaranteed to group inside of 2" @ 600 yds.. This gun likes Sierra's 165 gr. B.T.-H.P. Game King bullets, as well as the Sierra 180 gr. B.T. Spitzer...

good to see a can on a beast like that, very tidy craftsmanship as always.
did you make the can of is it purchased?????
the DPT crowd over here make a very tidy small unit that is modular so you can add more to make it quieter still.

Damn DS...you've done it again mate. My missus is going to think I've been looking at porn on the Net...well I suppose she will be right...I've been looking at GUN PORN.

Seriously though mate, that is a beautiful piece of handiwork that is up to your usual standard...Excellent and Outstanding. I really like the way you have combined the stainless barrel with the blue action, giving it a really nice look. Also, the overall fit of all the parts looks near enough perfect in the pics. As I said...once again, you have achieved a standard others can only look up to and dream about.

As Slim said, that scope isn't going to move anywhere, and it looks magnificent sitting atop that beast...it actually adds to the overall lines of the rifle.

I'm curious how much the suppressor quietens down the monster Win 300 Mag. It isn't an overly big unit, so I'm assuming there are some real tricks hidden away inside it to deliver the goods. Did you make the unit yourself or is it a commercial unit that you have fitted? I particularly like the subtle patterning on the body...it looks great.

I can't even comprehend shooting 2" at 600 yards mate. Accuracy of that standard alone is testament to the quality of your work.

If I wasn't an old mongrel pensioner I would commission a rifle from you mate. But I'm happy just to see pics of the masterpieces your create for others.

Vince and Elvis, thank you for the compliments!

The suppressor on this rifle was made by SilencerCo...

Recoil and noise both, were greatly reduced by the use of this particular suppressor...

The customer I built this gun for, will be using it on prairie dogs at the end of September, to make the 1,000 yard club, and possibly the 1,500 yard club if time allows it. After that, this gun will be going to Africa for the larger species of plains game. Between those two specific hunts, this gun should get quite a workout...

Bushmaster, you're a little too late! I hand delivered it to it's new owner Saturday morning, before taking my Fiancé fishing...

True story... SilencerCo was started by Josh Waldron, a few years younger than me... who grew up in the adjacent property to my parents house, we were neighbors. My Parents had 7 acres with apple trees and pastures... and lots of deer. Josh would try to sneak in and shoot them quite often. He tried with bows, we'd find dozens of arrows scattered out in the grass each spring. He finally started just shooting them with a rifle, litterally out of his parents house, off the kitchen table through the open door (when he didn't think anyone was at home at our house). He eventually decided to try building suppressors to quiet his guns, so he could kill more deer out of our orchard. This lead to the official formation of silencerCo along with a few others.

What a Bonehead... /sigh. But they do make good suppressors.

that is a classic tale DallanC
VINCE as to how quiet...well my .270 with hot loads sounds a lot like a mild .223 almost .22magnumish and if you are out in front and off to the side its not deafening.....

DS - If it is not impolite to ask... What is the $ needed to have you make another like that one? PM me if you'd rather not post it.

Dawgdad,

the man I built this rifle for, brought me the action, stock, suppressor and scope, and I provided the rest all the work. I do not know what he had tied up in the cost of parts that he brought me...

PM me a "complete list" on a build you are interested in, and I can give you an accurate price from that...
