My Brother-in-Law was showing me the gun he got passed down to him from his Dad,(My Father-in-Law). Win. Octagon barrel, lever action 45-70 cal. date on it 1885. I think it is a Mod. 1886. The 1885 is a single shot. What a sweet rifle, this thing is in great condition. He has an old box of ammo with it too, with one shell missing. Man would I love to get my hands on this. I married the oldest daughter, what gives? He said I could come and get it any time I want to clean it up and maybe Drool over it a little..LOL He doesn't shoot or hunt. Damn!!!

This is some numbers I wrote down..
xxxxxx
Pat. 10-14-1884
Jan 20 1885..

I'm a Lever Man, and I would give my right arm to have that rifle in my collection Glockman.

Never fails.
A guy that will never appreciate that Lever, owns it.

Glockman now is the time to turn on the charm and talk him out of it seeing as he doesn't hunt or shoot. Cool Maybe you could trade him with something that he really needs or wants. Smile

I'd love to own one like that as well. Mr. Green

I'd trade him your truck to get that gun.

See if he wants to trade for a Johnson 7 1/2 HP Outboard motor, and a 12ft
Alumacraft fishing boat.

I'm not kidding.

Heck I'd help if I could hang it over the mantle for a while:-)

That IS one nice rifle. Good luck on the procurement of such a fine firearm.

and resort to charmin's archive of over protective mother commercials. I bet it will thump. Probably not like the poor man shooting the 577 tyrannosaurus in another post here. Good luck.

Tell him that the gun is a tool for the devil and you are trying to safe his soul by removing it from his possession.
