I am a Lee fan for dies and powder handling. I recently picked up a 4 hole turret press and after modifying it and my bench to catch primers I am satisfied it will suffice for the batch reloading of pistol and small rifle. I also bought the Auto-Disk Pro and it works well. Because I load a lot of. 223 I elected to get the rifle charging die. Since this does not expand like the pistol dies, setting it up was not coincident with setting the expansion amount. I missed this point and the reminder in the die instructions. The first few cases I put through the die were ruined with the mouth crimped in and the shoulders buckled. Eventually realizing my error, I adjusted the die as instructed. Looks like it will have to br adjusted for each caliber. Lesson learned for the umpteenth time, "Read the instructions!" : Embarassed

Sorry, and not making light of your experience, but since it is somewhat similar I just had to share...

Quite a few years ago I worked with a guy whose wife and he decided to take up camping. Accordingly, they went out and purchased a tent. On Monday morning he came in to work furious. It seems that upon getting the tent home they decided to practice setting it up in the back yard. Several failed attempts and frayed tempers later they dug through the box and wrapping to find the instructions. What had him so mad even by Monday morning was the note in big red letters "NOW THAT YOU HAVE TRIED IT YOUR WAY..."

Appears as though the manufacturer had a pretty good understanding of human nature! Confused
