Mike Brennan from GA.
I only met him on three occasions when I stopped off to socialise on my way through Atlanta before heading on to Albuquerque.
He was one of those people that are so open & genuine that one cannot fail to feel privileged in knowing them.
He can't have been any older than I am (56) & for someone so full of life to be taken has left me stunned.
The one redeeming part of this is that he had just spent several days shooting with fellow firearms enthusiasts & good friends in Oregon.
One of the things he said there was this; "Someday I'll stop smoking...I'll stop drinking...I'll stop riding my dirtbike...I'll stop shooting guns...I'll stop having sex. Hopefully, it'll all be on the same day."
Perhaps somehow, subconsciously he knew....

Mike I'm sorry to hear you lost a friend. When I was in my 30s and 40s it seemed like all I did was attend weddings and christenings, but now as I'm closing on 60 it's more and more funerals. I guess the best we can hope for is that people will say we lived our lives well and to be remembered by friends and family.

Good friends are hard to come by and too easily lost.

It's funny how through out our lives we meet certain people who we feel an immediate connection with, and sometimes sadly how little time we really get to spend with them or never see them again, and yet we always remember that particular individual and look forward expectantly to our next opportunity to be with them. Someone might think it's a special treat that God provides us to make up for all the other a----les we meet and have to endure.
I give you my sincerest condolences on you loss and wish that I had you luck in meeting Mike.
