I have shooting Nosler Accubonds in my 7mm Mag, I shoot 140 grain @3300 fps and all I can say is they are bad to the bone, shot a 200 # whitetail last year through both front shoulders and found the bullet just under the skin and retained around 87% of it's original weight. It's not a partition but close.

I think Nosler gives you a lot to like with their Accubonds. I don't find them quite as accurate as the Balistic Tips, but certainly they're a better hunting bullet for anything bigger than varmints. I guess this is due to the thicker jackets they have as opposed to the Balistic Tips. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

Oh yea; forgot to mention that I used Accubonds for the first time this year, in my Stainless Steel Stalker, Win .300. 180 gr..Shot a bull elk uphill from my slightly less than 200 yds. Bullet completely penetrated the bull and exited. thru the lungs, clipping the backbone.. Dropped like a rock. I like a bullet that has some shock to it, penitration is great, but shock really get them. Freedyf from ID

Where is a good place to find some load data for a 300 WSM with nosler accubonds. I have some H4350, R22, and some Varget in my powder bin.
I haven't bought any bullets yet but I thought I might try the accubond not sure what weight yet maybe 165 gr bullet, they look like they might be impressive.

Howdy farrier. Nosler hasn't made a 30cal 165gr Accubond yet Sad I wish they did I would like to try it, so far in 30 cal they have the 150gr , 180gr and the 200gr. There are 51 loads in the reloading database here for the 300 wsm. When I started reloading them i used the Balistic Tip data. I think you will like them Very Happy I sure do.

Hey Joe, thanks for the information, I didn't know that 165 grain bullet wasn't out yet, I hadn't really looked. Maybe I'll try the the 150 gr accubond and about 57 grains of varget, to start with. Or do you think that the 180 would be better, I'm just shooting paper this time of year but I am looking for a good White tail load. I'm breaking in my new rifle that my wife bought me for x-mas, shooting it about twice and then brushing it with sweets and hopes #9 trying to get the burrs out of the bore and polished without too much copper fowling. I have shot 13 rounds of factory 180 grain power point bullets through it and the last time I shot a group of 3 with the a lot wind hitting my back. It grouped at 1.287 with the first shot being the furthest one out and the second two shots were under an inch at 100 yards. I am blaming that first shot on the barrel being clean. That's not bad for factory loads but I hope that it will get better as I get it broke in and switch off to reloads.
I swapped the trigger spring in my rifle with an ink pen spring and brought the trigger pull down to one lbs. in the Browning A-bolt hunter fld, when I did I found out that browning glass beds these rifles at the factory, so I hope this gun will be a shooter.

Confused Does anyone have any information as to the lowest velocity that the Accubond will "Reliably" expand. At the present time I am loading the 150gr. Nosler BT in my .308 Bellm for my 14" Contender. I am getting 2370 fps 10' from the muzzle and very good accuracy, 1" groups at 100 yds. I have one deer that I shot at @ 30 yards and only had a piece of the bullet left that weighed 70 gr. I would like something that would hold together better up close but still expand at 200 - 250 yards. Cool
