|
I am posting this for those who may "google" the information.
These inserts (Lee Shaver) are standard Anshutz size with an external diameter of 17.2mm and the locating tabs slightly off-centre. They will fit the globe sight often used on the Swedish Mauser - CG63 target rifle. There are other types of globe sights used on these rifles including the Elit which use different inserts. The three photos show the insert that came with the rifle, the sight and the insert card available from Lee Shaver. You can also buy Anshutz inserts including plastic orfices of varying colours from other sources.

Inserts arrived in the mail today. They are well made and fit perfectly. I was like a kid with a selection of new "View Master" reels. Now who remembers using one of those?

I do...In fact I have one of the "original" View Masters. Though it was called a "Stereo Scope" in those by-gone days.

You know Bushmaster, you can make new cards for that stereo-scope.
It just takes two pictures of the same scene from just slightly different angles. You have to make sure to mount the pictures on the correct side of the card. You can use any camera you want, from a pin-hole box camera to a nifty digital camera.
What a great way to save memories!

this is the first time I see one of these and I totally understand why you never see a Glock laying somewhere on the table in one of your pictures...
and I do agree. For me a nice weapon is also the combination of wood and metalwork. Plastic is more for toys...

Wow, yellow glock! awesome!
Having run a camera store for over 2 decades, I have seen many stereo scopes passing through my store.
Bur bushy's contraption definitely looks in the best condition.. LOL.

Thank you Sir. It was my grand mother's. She died in 1989 at the right old age of 96. I even have around 50 cards for it.
