Do you reckon Stovey could get a feed or two off this bugger?
It's a Chianina cow in South Africa and this one apparently weighed in at 810kg (1782lb) cold weight.

Heat up the BBQ. Put the beer on ice. Sharpen a few knives. Looks like a "butchering party" to me.

Looks like it will take two to eat one T-bone to me.

Why am I not surprised the missing pants were your first concern...
I note from the Wiki that the food fashionistas have been crossbreeding it to bring the fat content of the meat down to what is deemed "acceptable".
Don't these dipsticks know that it's the fat that gives most of the flavour to beef?
I picked up 8lb of prime aged ribeye from my butcher at the weekend & one of the things I stipulated was plenty of internal fat.
Mebbe I should let the "lean meat loonies" keep on truckin' as I paid almost a third less than "prime" price, as the piece I bought is considered "too fatty".
I cut & froze the ribeye on Sunday but kept one piece back for tonight & it was exceptional...

I thought the correct term was "marble". The cut was nicely marbled.

2 tails????? neck is wrong for cow...a bull/male yes but not a cow.
Slimjim marbling is fat throughout the meat...angus is famous for it....sort of like gold veins through granite.

...commonly referred to as a steer...a marked, or as my daughters say, a clumped, bull.
Correct me if i’m Wrong, but aren’t meat beasts, as a general rule, steers rather than cows? From memory, there is more muscle and weight to a steer than a cow, which relates to a higher market price for the farmer.
I’m with English Mike...a nicely marbled steak is usually the most tender and flavoursome.

yip steers are only good for eating and make great steaks....BULLS make great burger meat as it sticks together and chef doesnt need to add an egg...I was looking at some 5-7 yr old angus bulls today that would look like that on the hook.a belgium blue or the likes would make it look silly small, the neck on that animal is dead give away its a bull..... cows or steers dont need to muscle up like that, its pure pushing power for scrapping over the ladies, steers grow tall and long.....Ive loaded them in truck and can barely fit two in a pen where you fit four cows.

Good lord that thing is massive! I'd love to have seen it on the hoof. Wonder how big of a trailer it took to haul it.
