|
Hi just to drop a line to let you know that I am new to this forum and look forward to learning.
I have been reloading over 30 years with the same hunting partner and best friend. I have just recently changed jobs after 33 years and I have bought all my own reloading equipment.
I recently bought a new Savage 12FLV and have only shot it a few times as there is a real shortage of 204 brass right now.
If anyone knows where I can pick some up I would really appreciate the info.
I have tried to get it through Calebos but have been advised that they can not send it up here to Saskatchewan.
I have also checked Wholesale Sports, Russells and SIR but have not had any luck.
Hope I have posted on the proper site.
Thanks:
Dan

Sask boy, welcome to the forum. I also shoot the 204 in a Savage 12FV. I am lucky (blessed?) that I have a Cabelas about 5 miles down the road. I also have a Sportsman Warehouse in the other direction. Both have a good amount of 204 brass. They also have a good selection of bullets (Berger, Hornady, etc.). Hang in there and you will find the components you need. There are plentiful here in the states and I am sure they will make their way up North soon.

Hey Sask Boy, If all else fails go buy a hundred Rem. UMC round cheap have fun shooting them and then re-load the brass. That's what I'm doing for my new .223. Shooting the UMC breaks in the barrel and I'm not wasting good handloads for break-in and that way I end up with good Rem. brass. Just a thought...

If you cannot find 204 brass, look and see if you can find .222 Remington Magnum brass. It was the parent brass of the 204.

Welcome sask...Not much trouble finding .204 brass here in the states. If you are willing to pay me what I have in it I can get 100 pcs. of new Win. brass on its merry way to Canada. If I recall the bag hasn't even been opened. I get mine at Sportsmens Whorehouse....don't remember how much but i will look.
Resizing .222 Rem mag brass is an 'iffy' proposition. What I have worked with was poor in quality with many pieces of irregular neck wall thicknesses. YMMV

Midway or was it Midsouth, one of them is having a sale on .204 brass right now. If Midway it's midwayusa.com, if Midsouth it's midsouthshooterssupply.com Anyway it was on my e-mail fliers list and I just deleted it so I can't go back and see. Just check out the sites I listed and you'll find it.

Hello. I saw something expensiver; huntingtons.com/cases_...ngton.html 100 = 24,25$, 250 = 57,10$, 500 = 107,75$, 1000 = 194,30$. Kauko PS Why address goes wrong? Those are Reminton cases From Huntingtons.

Have a US resident order for you and forward it to you. I have sent Brass to Canada with out issue. It will cost more but if you need it what choice do you have?

I'm late getting to this post, but try e-bay.
Go to Sporting Goods, and then type in Brass.
There is all kinds of brass for sale cheap, if you have patience.
This past month I have stocked up on around 4500 .45ACP brass, and 3500 9mm brass. All for less than $150.00.
Just be patient while bidding.
Good Luck,
Eric
