I just started reloading American Eagle .223 brass. I didn't think that it was military brass, but I just can't get the primers to seat right. I guess it's crimped. What is the best way to remove the crimp ??
Thank you all.

There is a tool designed to remove the crimp.
Military Crimp Remover
I did some reloading for a mate who doesn't have the gear to do it and he wanted me to reload some once fired Winchester brass that had the primer crimped in. I used a small drill bit twisting it by hand to control the amount of brass removed. Got a bit tiresome and blistered my finger after doing 100 cases, but it worked. Only problem was there was no way to get every case decrimped to a uniform level.
If I had to do it again I would certainly look at purchasing a purpose designed tool.
Cheers, Vince

I have no experience with Am. Eagle brass but do with crimped primers. I use Lyman's simple hand operated primer pocket reamer, it does the job very well and is inexpensive too. Actually, I remove the reamer from its "screwdriver" handle and chuck it in a drill but it works either way.

RCBS makes a primer pocket swager that removes the crimp from military type crimped primer pockets. Unlike the power model that Vince showed you, this one is manual and works on your reloading press.
I wouldn't call it super fast, but it works nicely, and comes with the tools to do both small (223 size) and large (308) size primer pockets.

Thank you all for the great advice. I think I'm going to try the RCBS swager since their stuff seems to be pretty good quality.

As was said by another here, Lyman makes a hand operated tool for small quantitys, but for larger amounts of brass, call Dillon precision for there Super Swage. It works great and requires little efort on your part. Other than mounting it to a sturdy surface.
I had one for awhile but started buying new brass from Staarline and did not need it any more.
