I will miss this fellow greatly, He was the greatest friend a guy could have!

Really sorry to hear of your best mate passing Crackshot. Saw how upset my Dad was when he lost his mate so I feel for ya buddy.

We all feel your loss. I have lost so many best friends over the last 62 years both dogs, cats, frogs, turtles, racoons, parakeets and even a chicken (tweety bird). It's amazing how our best friends are truly that. It is they that always snug close when you are feeling bad. The good part is that they are not gone, just waiting for us to rejoin them in a better place. Don't hesitate to make another best friend. One is waiting at your local shelter.

We all know the emptiness you are feeling. Go. Go find a new best friend. They only know one thing, and that is giving you unconditional love an affection. Your Spanky wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks yotebuster, Maybe after awhile I will go to the shelter and look around. Thats where I found Spanky. He was part of a litter of Pitbull's the pound could not find homes for(because of their breed). some one botched up his ears and he looked kinda goofy, but I fell in love anyway. was gonna get his ears fixed, but that was part of what made him "SPANKY" so we left his ears alone. The rest is history.

Sorry to hear of your loss. One year ago I lost Molly, a 15 year old Springer Spaniel. I just learned of a litter os Springer Spaniels and have reserved a liver and white female. All the best...

Crackshot I'm sorry to hear of your loss and I know how you feel. Someday you'll find another good friend, not to replace this one, you'll just have another good friend.

Sorry to hear that , been down that road a few times , isnt easy , the last one still hurts , and that was almost six years ago .. Loosing a child was tuff , but pupndawg , was worse I think .. he had a replacement already in training , when he left us , now lead dawg is 10 and I know his days are numbered as well .. It'll be tuff but we'll replace him as well ..
There's a guilt feeling when you first replace him , but , new pup'll win yur heart over real quick ..

I also have a small pack of Beagles, but have never really got attached to them, as they sell or get traded off quit often. I'm thinking of getting my good female bred and picking a good pup for the house dog and friend duties. Not sure just yet.
