what is the difference between these two cartridges. all i noticed was the shoulder angle. But the velocity is greater with the 7x45.

Welcome to the forums Howdy

The 7mm TCU and the 7x45mm Ingram (7mm-223 Improved) are close it looks like, execpt the TCU has a case length of .010" shorter then the Ingram, and the TCU only tapers .0035 from the back to the neck, while the Ingram tapers .0055" from the back to the neck. Is all I can see looking at the drawings as differences. Smile

yeah, it just doesn't look like enough difference for the ingram to produce around 300 more f.p.s. with each bullet weight. I have a tcu and it shoots awesome. i just noticed the speed of the ingram and was wondering how.

Perhaps they are loaded to higher pressures or are using special powders like Hornady's Light Mag's to get thouse speeds ?? Confused
