Terry264, Thanks for the truth.
This is a good example of how false things get spread on the internet.
I would have just assumed the email was legit.

Um...yep....that would "loosen up the pipes" for sure. Luckily she was in the bathroom...the mess would have been easier to clean up.

Certainly very scary. Why would a mountain lion go after a pet cat? Are they cannibals and will eat other cats?

Cheers, Vince

I'm sure they would eat a bobcat and house cats are just snacks. The bobcat is a lot smaller than a lion but, it may be tough enough to save it's skin. The lion primarily lives on deer, about one a week. I used to have to shoot a feral or stray cat a couple of times a year. Haven't had to do that for about four years now. Very Happy

We're not allowed to hunt them in CA. Although you can get a depredation permit if you can prove you're loosing livestock to a lion or if people are threatened. One fellow just across the river shot one on his porch after the wife stepped out and encountered a growling lion. Very Happy

That is the problem when you have city folk moving out to the western regions that they think is beautiful or lovely. I think westerns call them "Tenderfoots" for a reason.

Hate to start another calibre war here, but a .223 is not what I would want for a large cat. Much prefer my .30-06...And some distance. Very Happy

Hoo BOY! Read some of the responses to the news story! Mad

Yay, Noble Lion, scarf some more human/canine goodies. They shouldn't be here, after all! Confused

Even a small Lab is a rather large package to carry. A child would not be nearly as much bother.

This reminds me of a couple of of Capstick's accounts regarding the leopard that walked across a herd of goats to get at the herd boy, or the one who picked his meal from several men, from the position of the pawprints.

Just one more reason not to shoot all your ammo, and keeping one or more up the spout when you are out in the weeds.
