Received this from Rdncktink's Mum...mmmmmm....BBQ

Its gangs like these that the people of Helena have to put up with. A bit different from the problems in other cities...

It proves that every State has their own "unique" gang problems.
They roam the streets and yards night and day.....and you CAN NOT(legally) shoot them.

How frustrating would this be for the hunters that live in this area!!!

I think I could live with that walking around in the neighborhood. Besides, my yard is fenced in!

I wonder how they affect the property value......

I must admit, them critters do look very majestic, and totally at home in the urban area. I wonder if they are dangerous or would have a go at anyone who tried to shoo them away?

I don't think I would be too unhappy about them being there, but if they are as ravenous as Stoves says...I would have to get in a bale or two of lucerne to save my garden.

I wouldn't really care if they ate every shrub and blade of grass in my yard...... no yard work = more time to hunt and fish. The problem would be what they leave behind! I just got the neighbors dog trained not to do his business in my yard.

An air rifle stops dog and cats from crappin' in ya garden...it's amazing how high they can jump with a pellet in the freckle.

My Dad stopped the cats from coming into his orchid house...buggers would knock pots over and break plants regularly. He started keeping a pillow slip, a piece of rough garnet paper and a bottle of methylated spirits inside the door. Grab the cat shove it into the pillow slip, grab its tail, pull its butt up....sand paper it then pour some metho onto it and drop the cat outside. Ever seen a cat "run" with its back legs over its ears?

That's a good'un too, Vince. Gonna remeber that technique. Got one trashing the wheels on my truck. Bloddy fleabags think they own the place 'till ya put a foot in one...funny how they never come back after you claim yours. Smile

My neighbor, 30+ years ago, came up with a fix for critters peeing on stuff and garbage can diving. He uses a wire mesh pad, a rubber pad and old ballast from a florescent light on his metal garbage can. Positive to the can sitting on the rubber pad and negative to the mesh lying on the ground in front. You can plug it in upon approach or leave it plugged in. A hot wire with insulators across a pee point (flower bed) works like magic. The blue arc along the pee line is very instructional and delivers a nice love pat to the offending body part. It leaves the critter breathless and with proper inspiration in just a flash. Upon recovery of senses, the offender understands that they should not return to pee on your property or rob the garbage. Best of all, it never requires a second application as the strength of instruction is sufficient with one application. When they stop peeing the instruction stops so it has an auto off switch. Very Happy

It might be a wee bit tough on a cat though Very Happy
