Do you see many Mossberg 500s at a trap range? |
Sure not so many with "TANK" written on it, it helps to imagine a very big and strong owner... |
Actually- yes! But not like this one, most of them are synthetic. People grab stuff that's the same color, or just stand there uuuuuh, then grab the wrong one blabbing....two guys grabbed my Benelli in two different rounds. There's NO other gun at the range that looks like that one. I keep an eye peeled during squad changes. Get's hectic at the window.

Pretty funny when I go over to get it and it's as tall as me dern near...been shooting sub-gauge so long this thing's massive compared to what I'm used to. Still cant get over how big it is. I pick it up and kinda snicker. It's a bludgeon! The shelf in my safe is 48" from the floor. It wont even come close to fitting under it. Sure is a looker though and I totally dig it.

My lil safe's maxed, even after I got rid of some shooters I dont use anymore. Tank is the biggest space hog by far. Floor to bottom of shelf is 48" and the big Mossy is on the right on the last perch pokin way over that. I also got 5 hand cannons stashed in there too. I'd like an even bigger 10ga pump just to have one "my next new gun" on the list. I dont blind/still hunt it, sure would be a nightmare hiking with for 3-5 hours at a time, still...got get me a whopper 10g pump someday. Need to make a cross-perch with slots for more barrels to fit more scoped stuff/long guns in and knock out the shelf and move it up. Meager but varried assortment, all are shooters and see a lot of use.
Left - right:
The Benelli 20g Ultralight
El Kabong (Mossy 300m 4x4)
Bunny Buster (S/W MOE 15-22)
Ugly Betty (59 Yugo battle rifle as issued)
Knock-Knock (old school Winchester Defender)
Chukar Buster (SAR PA 20g beater)
Shorty (Howa 308 Tactical)
Tank (Mossy 500 classic)
Been a lot of fun putting my collection back together and ya'll have been there the whole way- thanks for reading and joshin' along with me!

Your safe looks pretty much maxed out like mine, I did buy a Rotary gun holder/rack from gun-racks.com and will try it in my safe and see what happens. Here is a pic of the rack, I have not received it yet but it should be here before next Friday.

OV1, let us know how well it fits.

Stovey, shed the recoil pad and it looks like it might fit. The pad is probably all hard after all these years and you won't know the difference.

Right!
No way man! It's a new pad/gun. Vented one too. Pretty up to the task I'll bet as it's a Pachmayr. Just pink from all the corn starch or whatever they put on them. It'll redden out and squish ok methinks. Big boy just fits on the end with enough room for the door to close and my pistols on it dont hit.
Like that turntable idea Omni!I'm thinking a carpeted notched cross-piece of sorts might by me some extra room. My safe's a decent one just a bit on the smallish side. 14 gun rated but...BB guns maybe. Notches on the side bars aint deep enough for scoped guns so they have to go in the corners. Easy fixes nonetheless.

you could always take it apart and put the barrel in the neighbouring slot.

Dam, I have been resorting to removing the stock and store only barrelled actions in the safe..
I have a small safe
