Gidday Stoves. Only thing worse than swattin' at mossies that aren't there is mistakin' the buzz of real mozzies for the buzz in ya ears.
The ute (truck) is pretty good...its only a base model and they are very common on the roads here...along with many other brands of a similar style vehicle.
That is one of the better campsites we have used. Just over behind the camp is a smallish river (varies between 5m and 10m wide) that is very refreshing during summer. The grass is always green there and there is plenty of firewood handy. Its absolutely magnificent sitting round the fire at night, with a beer or three of course, just looking straight up into the blackest night sky you will see...with millions of stars looking down on us merrily twinkling away.
Snakes...yeah...they are everywhere...red bellied blacks, browns, king browns...no shortage of the buggers mate. I just ignore them and stay away from them if I see them. If they take an interest in me I will initially try to shoo them away...but if they persist I introduce them to my good mate Mr Fausti/Stephano O/U 12g. I avoid killing snakes when I can...I actually like the buggers. I'm even teaching my grandkids tolerance of them.
Cheers, Vince
