Just a quick update as I get alot of emails on this.

The Goals of a mobile version are:

1. Allow misc ballistics computations
2. Allow creation and tracking of target range data
3. Allow browsing & computing load data (lighter database than pc)

I do not currently expect to support the same comprehensive database as the PC version.

I had been working on a Android version of PointBlank, it had progressed pretty far, it was calculating properly, table views, graphical drop table etc but it was very cumbersome to work with and develope for. And worst of all, it was unique to Android meaning it would have to be entirely started over for an iPhone version.

Due to this, I have been exploring other development kits and found one that is cross compatable for BOTH Android and iPhone. I've been putting in alot of time to learn this new system but its starting to come together. The good news is I write it once and maintain it and it works on both iPhones and Android systems.

The downside to this new development kit is it is pricy... thousands of dollars for the full version.

I'm not sure if I want the android version to completely support loading and using the PC's database... or have it keep a smaller lighter database that is then imported via the PC tool.

No ETA on a Mobile version atm.

Thanks for the update. I've looked at a few of the aps out there and didn't see anything that impressed me. I can wait for something better.

Looking forward to BETA. I have access to both iPhone and Android. I currently have the Strelok ballistics app on my Android tablet but I find it a bit clumsy to use.

Yea I've got it installed as well. The whole clumsy use thing is another major reason I'm trying this other development package, its SUPPOSED to give a much better feel. So far alot of it is really cool, a few things like creating tables seem to be rediculously hard to setup.
