The opening of early goose season is only 2 1/2 weeks away, the the ducks are going to get it immediately following! I was able to find a small outboard for the duck boat. put a new grass blind on it and made a dog ladder for my girlfriends. Old Sadie was so happy that she made her own hole in the grass blind to get in and out of the boat. All the decoys got new rigging, I set them up with Texas Rigs and are ready to go. I don't think I will hunt the pups this year but I will take them out to watch the old girl work. Maybe they will get some late season action, but only if I think they are ready. I have the new 10 gauge to get out and meet the nice little birdies.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy I can't wait.

wiersy111, I'm impressed! Your more prepared for you hunting season than I am. I like the camo job on the motor.

I dont rig my dekes up beforehand any more I have big snap swivels on the lines that are only about 24" long that way they clip straight on in shallow water can go onto a longline or I can add a section of nylon with a loop on both ends in deep water. we chuck the extra bits when we get them back in. I keep looking at long line fishermens trace boards and thinking.....gee thats got to be easier but havent done anything about it yet.
