AK or SKS with aftermarket stock on it.

I think pumkinslinger has the right idea. After repeatedly watching watching the cop cycling the action I am reasonably sure it is a shotgun round being ejected. The Saiga shotgun equipped with a pistol grip and butt stock looks very similar to an AK. There are a lot of aftermarket accessories that can be put on.
