Mojo-this could go on for days so i'll give you some for instances and you can decide,I have a 1in 12 223 that wil shoot 50's and less with pin point accuracy-but hates any thing above 50gr.I have a couple of other 1in12s that will shoot 40's to 63 gr all less than 1&1/4moa.I had a couple of 1-10s that hated anything less than 60 gr but loved 63,69,70gr bullets, but not heavier! One of those 1in 10s would shoot 40grs at reduced velocity(1500fps)at moa!I have had a couple of 1in 9s that would shoot 50's moa,63'smoa,69s moa, hated 70s and above.I had a 1in 8 that hated everything except 69s and 70s-never tried the 75s or 77s with it tho. What does all of this mean?HIIK!So many variables to cut it down to a specific type of bullet.Variables to include;# of lands&grooves, type of lands and grooves, twist rate, length of meplate on bullet, bullet type and construction, ballistic coeficient of bullet, powder, primers, cases, temperature. And on a ruger #1 heavy barrel varminter that I have in 25-06-where you position your hand or resting spot on the forend of the stock..........Lots to think about
