Sad Sad they wouldnt take no for an answer so Im back in a stock truck for the next two days Sad Sad
going for a wee drive tomorrow from here in Geraldine on east coast across and down West coast to Fox Glacier...pick up some moos on Saturday morning them trundle back over the alps and home again Saturday evening...my Bum will be numb by the time we get back...something like 8 hours driving each day.
on a bright note the big boss man said "take ya Son with ya" so Nathan is coming for a trip and hopefully if weather is fine can take a few photos on the way.
hope the sandflies dont carry us away Very Happy Very Happy

home safe..butt is shaped like truck seat but all good. Nathan enjoyed the trip, saw some great scenery ,photos to come once we sort them a tad. Arthurs pass was an eye opener...talk about narrow n twisted.

west coast road and east coast road..the bit in the middle was the challenge!!
hard to capture just how narrow some of the bits were.

A nice one-way bridge to throw a wrench in the gears, lovely snowy mountains. I bet that scenic drive was refreshing despite the distance (and your ability to stand afterwards).

Ok, Elvis, nice pictures and all, but (not butt), where is a picture of your rig with the terrain in the background? Was it too long to fit in the frame or big and blocked the view? Aren't the rigs down under like land-trains pulling 4 or 5 "cars"?

Is the screening on the front of the truck to block the sandflies?
