The one thing that we don't need is politics as usual like Billary. I do agree that being an ex-muslim is not a good thing. Just look at it this way, if he gets the dem. nomination and not Billary he would be easily defeated by McCain or Huckabe in the election.
Do you remember all of the anti-gun legislation that Gore had in his back pocket? Billary now has it in hers. So far I haven't heard anything about Obama being an anti. She/it wants to impose penalties on people that don't buy health insurance. He wants to have a more unified health care system to provide health care to those who can't afford insurance.
Don't get me wrong, I don't really wantObama in there either. But none of us want Billary in there, unless you don't like guns.
Right now I'm composing a letter that will hopefully be heard or read by all the hopefuls titled "Where Do You Stand" asking questions about our 2nd ammendment rights, American jobs coming back to America, health care and so on. Hopefully they will atleast hear it and respond.

Dave, This is the Obama line:
"I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manufacturer's lobby. But I also believe that when a gangbanger shoots indiscriminately into a crowd because he feels someone disrespected him, we have a problem of morality. Not only do we need to punish that man for his crime, but we need to acknowledge that there's a hole in his heart, one that government programs alone may not be able to repair."
Source: The Audacity of Hope, by Barack Obama, p.215 Oct 1, 2006
I think he is definately pro gun don't you? Perhaps if he hugs the gangbanger, with my money, he will give him hope and close the hole.

"only the privalidged should have guns"... well I'd dare say that that includes every law abiding citizen that has the privalidge to call the USA home. Especially those of us that are Veterans who have offered thier own life in defence of those rights.

The Washington Post interviewed Obama and asked about gun control:
Q - Do you think gun control has an impact on crime rates in the United States?
A - Yes, I do think that reasonable gun control measures reduces violent crime and saves lives. I respect the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. But we can't deny that gun violence has taken the lives of too many Americans. I believe that through common-sense measures, we can keep guns from those who may pose a threat, while also protecting the rights of legitimate hunters and sportsmen.
From my point of view anyone who is "protecting the rights of legitimate hunters and sportsmen" either doesn't understand the Second Amendment or is deliberately ignoring it.

Well Mike it certainly isn't Billary. Huckabee, McCain and Obama, if I'm not mistaken, are the candidates that aren't anti's.

Protecting rights is liberal gobbledegook and double speak!! By the way, there is no right to hunt, that is a privelege. To keep and bear arms is our right and we are priveleged to use them in any moral manner!!

If you look at the candidates' web sites you quickly see that the Democrats avoid even mentioning gun control. If Obama isn't an "anti" I'm the Pope's son...

Your majesty...
One of the reasons that the democrats aren't mentioning pro/con on 2nd amendment on their websites is that their experts told them to stay away from gun control issues because it would poison this year...
Our forefathers never mentioned hunting because it was a way of life and was given little thought that one day someone would try to take that away too. That was how we ate along with cultivation...
