That was almost a double-KB.

I reload 200 and 240gr JHP for my 44m. I try super hard to keep them two boxes apart cuz brother do they look alike! Not so big a deal getting a 200 in with the 240...but the other way round would be a KB. Man I watch them bullets like a hawk! Same with my 168 and 200gr SMK, super easy to mix them up and man is yer gun gonna pay! I keep all my pills in the factory boxes taped shut and only have one out at a time.

Good catch ...keep them peepers peeled!

Why not? Those yellow boxes are handy for storing all kinds of stuff, including other manufacturers bullets.

I won't give up my Speer 170 grain FN Hotcores.

I like the speers I have been loading for my 7 mag and I hope these deepcurls work out for my ole jack handle. I swore I seen that the deepcurls were replacing a line of bullets. I thought I read they were replacing magtips but I found magtips listed under hot-cor bullets speers site so I am not sure where I read that but it must not be the case.

Speer finally messaged me back asking for a copy of my picture, the item number on the box and the lot number. The CCI/Speer Sr. Technical Coordinator is supposed to do some checking into the situation and see if there is an explaination as to how it happened.

I kinda get the feeling this is the last I may here about it but we'll see I guess.

I reckon you have got that one totally correct Elvis.

TLO7mm...was the pack of rounds sealed correctly when you bought them? If not, I reckon Elvis is right. I can't imagine this problem happening in the Speer factory...not because they are infallible, but because I don't believe the process would allow for different bullets to get mixed up together, unless done deliberately.

Cheers, Vince

I would agree with you Elvis but the box was still factory sealed so it had to happen at the Speer plant.

So after waiting all this time getting several messages from speer stating they were checking into the bullet packaging snafu I finally hear from them today and they are sending me out replacement bullets. I would have to say that I cannot complain considering they are righting the wrong. I am quite happy with their service.

So for one bad bullet in the box, they sent you 100 new ones? Sounds like one of the good deals Gil seem to be the only one that gets.

It's human to make a mistake. And when a customer complains, he offers you to opportunity to correct the mistake and take the necessairy steps to improve your QC so that the same mistake can be avoided.
So good job from both of you: tlo did his work to let this known at Speer's and the company did effords to make things straight.
And it made me happy to see a company giving good service, so I will look arround for the yellow boxes.

Honestly i just let them know so hopefully they could correct it and it wouldn't happen to someone else. I wasn't really expecting anything in return so for speer to do what they did is pretty amazing. I haven't actually gotten the bullets yet so I am not sure how many I am getting but I will keep yall posted.

I use the 180 gr Speer FN in my 35 Remington and have no complaints, they have worked great on any game taken so far.

thats good to hear. I haven't killed anything with my spear loads myself but the loads I made up for my brother work great on deer and are damn accurate compared to other loads I have tested thus far.
