I want to hunt out West again. I have a brother in Seattle and we were thinking about trying our luck east of the city. What is Washington like east of the Cascades? What's it like west of the Cascades? It appears that there is quite a bit of public access hunting. Which districts are most productive? Is it relatively easy to get non-resident licenses? What about blacktails?

I know they have an elk herd out by Sequim and Port Angeles, I have seen black tail out there and also Bainbridge Island. I have also seen mountain goats up in the Olympic range - not too familiar with the other areas.
