Sorry to hear what is in store for you and your wife. I have been fighting neck cancer for 3 years now. It was detected after it moved to my lymph nodes. The first round of chemo-radiation was the worst, especially after 4th week. So far I have had 3 operations to my neck - it keeps coming back. I would recommend you go to the Mayo Clinic if at all possible. They are so much better and far advanced over other options it isn't even comparable. So far it hasn't reappeared in a year now.

Good luck and keep your head up, it is survivable these days.

only new here but have lost two inlaws to the dreaded "c" and have a very good friend who is in remission after a hefty bout of chemo although she has complications from the chemo it has not changed their lives they changed they way they do things to suit .

Here is the latest update on my Wife Judy gang.

She had another PET scan yesterday, and it shows that she is now cancer free.
She will start Chemo on April 5th, but everything looks great.

We are surely Blessed, and both of us thank all of you for your Prayers and kind words.

PRAYER REALLY DOES WORK!!

Very good news indeed.
The chemo will knock her around a bit, but the light is at the end of the tunnel and its not an oncomming train.

That is really great news. The PET scan is the best of the bunch for detecting residual tumors that may be away from the primary site.

I've been a Befriender with the Catholic Church for many years, and Prayer, Faith, and great Doctors, are a combination that is hard to beat.

In Judy's case, Prayer and her unwavering Faith is what made it so this cancer did not spread.
Her surgeon even used her case on a nationwide conference of Oncologists.
Judy's type of cancer should have spread, but didn't.

Your Prayers, and the Prayers of our small community, [in my opinion] made this happen.

It will be a long summer with chemo and radiation, but all will be over by the end of September.

Her Doctors all said that she is cancer free right now, and after the other stuff, for sure she will be in great shape.

This has really brought the Family more closer together than ever.
