I asked where you were because IF you were in GODZONE you could ask the good folks at gunworks what they use. they have loaded rounds advertised online at this time and sell reloading components aswell so it would be no skin off there nose to help you out. do you have one of those super sexy savage 99s with the rotary mag?

Just a note...you don't mention what rifle you have so I assume it is a Savage 99? The Savage used a bore diameter that is slightly smaller than the bullet diameter. This was done to increase velocity by raising pressure. The bores would slug at .226" and used bullets .228". This was a concept that began with the .303 Savage (.308" bore and .311" bullets) for the same reason. this is not a big deal unless you start treading too closely on the maximum charges. Hornady bullets are .227, which is a bit closer to bore diameter, but with the already high pressures involved a bit to much or the wrong powder could possibly create undesirable pressures.
