My shooting bud uses Contenders all the time. He has some wierd calibers too! Mostly for prairie dogs he uses a 6MM TCU, which is a .223 case necked up to 6MM. He even has a barrel in the .50 Beowulf, and he has offered to let me have a shot or two, but I will not shoot it!

But when he hits a prairie dog with it, it sounds like someone dropping a watermelon on the pavement!

There is an old saying amongst silhouette shooters; "You can spend thousands on a custom bolt gun just to get it to shoot as good as a 10 inch TC." The saying is funny, only because it is 100% true.

I have seen a many a match where a lowly 10 inch TC whipped all comers over 3 days or even a week at the internationals.

There is nothing quite so dejected as a Stolle Panda custom gun owner with his head hung low after loosing to a $350 off the shelf TC.
