hodgdon's superformance powder yet? Looks impressive on paper, just wondering how it does in the real world.

Thanks Omini. I might have to pick up a pound and try it in my `06.

When I first heard about this powder coming on the market I couldn't wait..... figured it had the potential to be the next best thing for the reloading community !!!
Now that we know more about it I'm not impressed.
Don't get me wrong.... for those that purchase factory ammo I believe it's a good thing and I just might try it some day.

From a re-loaders point of view I don't see it doing anything that other powders can't already do.
In many situations it actually maxes out in velocity earlier. (according to data found in Hornady 9th edition)

I think one of the biggest issues with this powder (from a marketing standpoint) is the fact that there's 40 different blend variations and only 1 is available.
For this reason I do not recommend experimenting outside the published data.

I've tried it in a 22-250 and I think in a 223. I found powders that worked better accuracy wise; I never checked the velocity.

Now I've loaded up some 243 Winchester cartridges with it but it has been too cold and snowy to try them so I have no data yet.
