Here :- Crowbusters
Strange how things differ with the UK. Crows are classed as vermin and can be shot or trapped all year round

From my understanding, most states here that either protect crows entirely, or restrict the killing of crows, relate it back to a treaty with Mexico(damn if I know which one). I guess Mexico's national bird is the raven, a crow's close cousin.

Happen to be a crow hunter. Crows are migrotory birds. When the US made a treaty with Mexico on Migratory birds, there was no exclusion for any birds, so the crow was pulled in. Our friendly congress again, with a foresight as long as their foreskin. There is a federal season on crows, in effect, established by the can not shoot times.
Florida allows as how they are vermin and can be killed by any means, but you can not kill the varmits during the no shoot fed times. I use a 20ga shotgun and rifle. My crow rifle is a 22-250 AI fast twist gun. I use calls and decoys for shotgun shooting. A good day crow busting can be way better than the best day in the dove field here in the US.
If you get on a crow flyway and use an owl decoy with a dying crow call, they will flock in on you like gang busters. Usually a rifle shot is 300 plus yards. The 22-250 is a wings and feet in red mist kinda gun.

You'll love this...
NC law says that crow season is "Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of each week from June 1 through the last day of February plus Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. ... Seasons shown are valid through June 30, 2008." There is no bag limit.
Only a politician or lawyer could come up with that!

In Michigan we have a season for them. They are the dirtiest animal I have ever shot. They roost over one another and crap on each other all the time.
We can sell the feathers to crafts people some times, Other than that Im not sure what you would do with them, other than feed the ferel cats and then shoot them as well.
I use my 12ga. w/ #4 shot and the 22Hornet with Hornady 35 gr bullets.
