I have "made an impression" on more than one salesman going to the door with my gun on and in plain view. First question is, "oh, you're a cop?" and when I say no they just say oh... and leave with the first, "I'm not interested."

The insurance companies play a larger role than most people relize !!!

My place of employment has put a no smoking rule into effect. No smoking on company grounds. The funny thing is that formen and office workers both stand along side plant workers at break times puffing away. ( Outside the plant doors )
By putting this rule into effect the company recieved a break on the health care coverage.

Another area insurance companies help control is deer populations.
In Eastern states that have alot of deer/car accidents these companies have managed to get the DNR involved in lowering deer herd populations.
