Thanks gelandangan! But can you do their "Bloom'n Onion"?

Glad Outback is also where it claims its origins are. However, I think there are more Outbacks in the DFW than in all of your continent.

TLA's (three letter acronyms) have taken over the business world. I'm working with a co-worker to see if we can complete an upcoming project using nothing but TLA's. The report to upper management will be included...

Gotta be careful about those acronyms...

The dept. I used to work in designed a way to count and scan bags of product as they were dropped into a shipping container. As a joke we refered to it as the "Product Inventory Scanning System". Unfortunately someone with a limited knowledge of English started using the acronym in memos sent throughout the company... Good thing he didn't hear us call ourselves the "Software - Hardware Integration Team".

Dallas Fort Worth, (DFW) those Texicans think like everyone knows. Too much military in the blood probably. So what's a guy in Sydney supposed to know about DFW? Or maybe the PNW? (Pacific North West) I should be living in the PNW for now on. There's a lady at work that likes to do that sort of thing. She tells us about going to the "wine country" for the weekend and it ends up she's talking about an area in Oregon, You would think Sonoma Valley Ca. or some where around San Francisco. She talks about her house the same way, she's given it a name, it's actually the street name and since she lives in the sticks on a hill, she adds the word, hill, to the street name. Says it very matter-of-fact, like everyone should know what the heck she's talkin about. She'll say like "We left Melody hill and headed for the wine country". There is no place called Melody hill, she lives on Melody Ln. which happens to be on a hill. Drives people nutz somtimes trying to figure out what the heck. So you think she's goin to the "wine country" and you naturally ask where did you stay? or how long a trip was it? you get the answer that makes you suddenly Confused you know like wtf and you look around to see if anybody else heard that nonsense. Then you say OH THAT"S what your talkin about and she looks at you like you're some kind of idiot. TOTALLY CRACKS ME UP!!!!!

quietly
Suz

Now that I know what DFW is, I'll say yeah.. maybe there is more outback in DFW than in Oz,
But then again, there are a lot more people there too..
Also, could it be that them outback kitchen might not taste outback to us Ozzians so we wont eat there??

This Land Of Oz IS an island, a big one, really big one..
so I suppose if I say I live in an Island it would be right then..

Looks like my property value just being inflated Very Happy
Hope the guvmint dont increase the tax for the privilege.
