The taliban have NO respect for OUR religion or their own.

Or something equally simple call them infedels and treat them as they treat non muslims.

After reading that article I have an urge to remodel the bathrooms in the house so they all face towards the mecca.

If I was a marine over there, I would turn 180 around and when I was done, I would bend over and let loose a mighty aimed squarely at their mecca.

Don't forget to bury them at least a week later wrapped in a pigskin...in fact marinate them in the fatty skin in the sun for a week before burial, and bury them with their feet towards that place the soldiers can't pee.

I do agree with not disrespecting the Quran though...it should, and has, the same status as our Bible as as such must be respected. It is not the Quran that is necessarily bad (as far as I know, but correct me if I am wrong here)...it is the extremist mongrels that twist its words to suit themselves and their self-serving agendas.

I really, really do not want to get into a religious or ecumenical debate, however I do need to say that the Boston Globe article demeans the old testament by not providing the details of why God wanted entire nations destroyed. Nuff said.

Now, regarding burying Muslims with pig skin or parts, lots of rumors about this happening sometime in history. And, very frankly, I think it sounds great, but these folks have been fighting themselves and everybody else for 6000+ years, so I suspect that a few pig parts won't do the trick.

What might do the trick is sending every Arab, and or Muslim home. Why, well here is my logic. Countries like the USA, Britain, Australia, Canada, and many other have for years let people who were unhappy with there own countries immigrate to a new home where they thought they would be freer and happier. Sounds great, but what if they had to stay home and make the necessary changes for freedom in their own countries. Much like the American colonists did it, or how the Australians did it. I am not against immigration, but it seems to me that if all the unhappy people leave who is left to make the needed changes. Just a thought.

I'm with you Lester. I have always figured that you should spend the time to straighten out your own country rather than come here and screw up ours...Now if you wish to be an American then embrace our culture and history. Don't bring your culture and your problems here and try to cram them down OUR throats!

I think the US would be a very different place if the founders had not brought their cultures and problems with them.
The only problem I see is making their religion the governing factor in their lives and in their communities. We have a governing body and laws that protect a separation between religious matters and state matters. Religion governs our moral behavior but the law governs our social behavior and that is as it should be.

Well Paul, I have a story for you. Last winter the wife and I was shopping at Mernards and as we stood in line at the checkout lane behind a lady all wrapped up including her face and her (I assume) husband in front of her checking out 3 items.

Now when you write a check to purchase any items at a store and you are from out of state, the clerk usually asks for more id like a drivers license. So this guy starts going ballistic because he says he is being singled out because he is of different race. The girl told him no sir, it is policy for out of state shoppers.

Then he told her (clerk) that he would not buy any items if he has to show ID, she said thats fine, and pushed the items down towards the end of the isle and called for a stocker and security. She had intuition something was going to happen and it did. The guy pulled his wife off to the side and started yelling in a different language I have no idea, security came over and held him for police since he took the shopping cart which was now empty and rammed it into an elderly lady and knocked her down.

When the police came to arrest him, his (wife?) grabbed an officer by the hair after knocking off his hat and I thought she was going to pull half his scalp off. Now if this is the way their religion governs moral behavior, I don't want it.

I hope that they were both arrested for assault, her for assulting a Plice Officer and him for knocking an elderly lady - and possibly a deportable offence.

Speakin' of "law"..."Sharia" comes to mind...

I have to agree with you Vince 100 %. the extremeists tend to bugger it up for the rest . the only problem with the" great big melting pot" theory is you would all end up the plurry same!!!
I have a theory on world over population and starvation.
