Lately visiting the Nuts seems to be a lot slower..
many times I have to wait up to 5 minutes for the site to load up.
Mind you with ADSL2 27540 kbps usually web sites opened up pretty much instantly for me.
My thought is that this is because of an external link (advertising) that slows things down.
In particular from ad.yieldmanager.com
I wonder if any other experience similar?

I have been having the same trouble!!! Sometimes when going page to page it never loads. I have to go to the home page and start over from there.
All along I’ve been blaming IE for my trouble!!! This was what pushed me to download FireFox as my browser. It doesn’t seem to be as slow with FF but I still sometimes have to wait longer than I think I should!!!
On IE in the status bar I have a small icon showing my phishing filter, when experiencing this problem it says “phishing filter checking web site” Hopefully that helps find a solution.

Off and on, I have the same problem guys.
I use the Safari web browser.
I figured that the problem was with Safari until this post.

Huntingnut has always be the slowest site I know or use. At least for me. I use dish network (google) and it's on high speed satellite.

Thanks for bringing this up. I will dig into it and see what we can do to improve things. Its occasionally been slow for me but its never taken very long to fetch a page.

I have been paying closer attention and am seeing slowdowns as well. I've forward the information to the advert people and we'll see what they can figure out.

Ok they got back to me, and are asking the following:
Quote:: |
Couple questions and things that might help us identify the slowdown:
What browser are you using?
Do you believe it to be a specific ad?
Can you send screenshots of the ad or the page?
Problem occurring across your whole site or certain sections? |
So if you are having problems with slow loads, post answers to the above (if you know them)

I'm using Firefox with the NoScript add-on & it makes a big difference on some sites but not here.
I've no issues with slow loading.

I use IE7 and Firefox, IE is definitely slower.
I’m hooked to Road Runner high speed cable.
Slow on entire site. Should mention that the problem is sporadic and not constant.
As stated earlier, phishing filter seems to be doing something whenever it happens.
